Course reserves and you

Fall semester is here (shudder!). If you plan to use course reserves in the new term, here are some points to remember:

  • If you plan to reuse CNAV electronic reserves from past terms, you must notify the Musselman Library Reserves Office to reattach scanned material to the new semester's reserves. Otherwise, these scanned readings will not be available for use during the new term.
  • To place journal articles or book chapters on reserve (whether print or electronic reserves), you must include a photocopy of the actual copyright page from the source - this step, in fact, is required by federal copyright law.
  • Reserves requests are processed in the order that they are received by the Reserves Office. Due to the high volume of reserves requests that must be processed at the beginning of the semester, please allow at least 1 week for processing reserves.

For more information about these and other course reserves matters, please contact Lisa McNamee, Musselman Library Reserves Coordinator, by phone at ext. 7025 or via e-mail at
