Join Library Director Robin Wagner for a slide show and talk about her research on the Queensland Bush Book Club, a group of elite city women who supplied parcels of reading matter to rural families in an era before free public libraries were commonplace. The talk will include excerpts of letters from country women, describing their hard-scrabble life in the Australian Outback in the early twentieth century.

Light refreshments will follow the talk.
