Fifty years ago this fall, Carl Arnold Hanson became the 10th president of Gettysburg College, serving from 1961-1977. His long administration saw the College through some interesting times. There are many great stories to tell.
Please join President Janet Riggs ’77, as well as Professor Emerita Mary Margaret Stewart and Professor Ken Mott, who will share stories from the Hanson years.
Junior history majors Melissa Dorrance ‘13, J.J. Beck ‘13 and Sam Larson ‘13 will comment on their research about student life during his presidency.
