Collecting: Passion, Compulsion, or Pursuit of Happiness?

Next Monday, the Friends of the Musselman Library will be hosting a talk given by former U.S. Ambassador Lawrence Taylor about his lifelong passion for collecting at 4:00 pm in Musselman Library's room 018. A selection of Mr. Taylor's collection of Abraham Lincoln bookends are currently on display at Musselman Library.
Taylor has a large collection of Lincolniana that he has gathered in his travels across the globe. His bookend collection highlights the early 20th century tradition of giving Lincoln bookends as gifts for lawyers upon their graduation. The exhibit will be on display at Musselman Library through December 2013. Join us next Monday to hear more former Ambassador Taylor's collection.
